Have you ever found yourself leaving important decisions until the last minute, only to suddenly realize that the time has run out and you’ve not achieved what you should?. This causes unnecessary delays and disappointment. As life progresses, you only live to regret the opportunities you didn’t seize, the giants that you didn’t slay, the mountains you didn’t climb, the rivers you didn’t cross, the battles you didn’t win, the promotions you didn’t receive, the speech you were too shy to give, the contract you didn’t sign, the man/woman you didn’t marry, the country you never travelled, the appointment you didn’t book, the prayers you didn’t pray, the hurt you didn’t vent… The list could go on, of a million and one things you didn’t do all because of the spirit of the non-starter. The spirit of the Non-starter brings much hesitation. That as what as cost you all these issues over the years, and you realize too late that you are becoming older.
You could have achieved many things by this day. I see that you should have been further than where you are now, you should have been great. The Bible tells us about the Tribe of Judah. A tribe filled with very courageous people, a tribe who is ready to grab the bull by its horn. One great example from the tribe of Judah was a man called Caleb.
The Bible tells us in the book of Numbers 13:26-30 “They came back to Moses and Aaron and the whole Israelite community at Kadesh in the Desert of Paran. There they reported to them and to the whole assembly and showed them the fruit of the land. They gave Moses this account: “We went into the land to which you sent us, and it does flow with milk and honey! Here is its fruit. But the people who live there are powerful, and the cities are fortified and very large. We even saw descendants of Anak there. The Amalekites live in the Negev; the Hittites, Jebusites and Amorites live in the hill country; and the Canaanites live near the sea and along the Jordan.”. 𝐓𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐂𝐚𝐥𝐞𝐛 𝐬𝐢𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐩𝐞𝐨𝐩𝐥𝐞 𝐛𝐞𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐌𝐨𝐬𝐞𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐬𝐚𝐢𝐝, “𝐖𝐞 𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝 𝐠𝐨 𝐮𝐩 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐝, 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐰𝐞 𝐜𝐚𝐧 𝐜𝐞𝐫𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐥𝐲 𝐝𝐨 𝐢𝐭.”
